Nelly Korda was born on July 28, 1998 in Bradenton, Florida. The daughter of former professional tennis players Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova, Korda’s role models growing up were tennis stars Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.Just shy of her 15th birthday, Korda played in the U.S. Women’s Open and made the cut, finishing tied for 64th.
