Ladies of the Links Featured Player: Ruixin Liu

A native of the People’s Republic of China, Ruixin Liu was born on November 13, 1998. Liu is an animal lover, particularly dogs and horses and when not playing golf, enjoys equestrian. It is on the golf course where the 22-year-old excels.
In 2016 at just 18-years old, Liu finished tied for 67th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament, earning Symetra Tour status for 2017. Liu made 15 cuts in 18 events as a rookie on the Symetra Tour, recording four top 10 finishes. Her best finish was runner-up at the Island Resort Championship.
Liu elevated her game to the next level in 2018, winning three times at the Island Resort Championship, IOA Golf Classic, and the Symetra Tour Championship. In 21 events, she made 16 cuts and finished first on the money list, earning nearly $125,000. Liu became the sixth player in Symetra Tour history to earn over $100,000 in a season. She was the Symetra Tour Player of the Year and earned membership for the 2019 LPGA Tour season.
The 2019 season was a struggle for Liu on the LPGA Tour, making only six cuts in 20 events. Her best finish was a tie for 11th at the Marathon Classic presented by Dana. Last year, Liu played on both the Symetra Tour and the LPGA Tour. She won the 2020 FireKeepers Casino Hotel Championship on the Symetra Tour and had another top ten finish. Despite playing in only five events, she was 11th on the money list. In three events on the LPGA Tour, Liu finished 73rd at the LPGA Drive On Championship, 71st at the Marathon Classic and 41st at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship.
Liu started her 2021 season on a high note, winning the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic in a two-hole playoff over amateur Rose Zhang. Liu has 13 top ten finishes, five wins and nearly $225,000 in earnings on the Symetra Tour and $87, 000 on the LPGA Tour. She is currently 325th in the Rolex World Golf Rankings.
